Shawn and Elizabeth are parents to their only child, Betsy. Like many married couples, they met in college at the University of Illinois Graduate School and as chance would have it, both were enrolled in Critical Evaluation of Herbal Remedies. A difference of opinion on a discussion about venom led to a first date at a nature museum. By the time they graduated, a wedding was being planned.
Shawn was a Navy brat who spent most of his childhood on the move. He is now an Environmental Consultant who works with governments worldwide to discuss the preservation of delicate environmental biomes. When he isn’t traveling for his job, he enjoys building Lego sets and solving logic puzzles.
Elizabeth grew up in a small town in Northern New Jersey and moved to the Midwest for school. She is a veterinarian at the Brookfield Zoo outside Chicago. Her hobbies include gardening and photography.
They both enjoy home renovation, which is handy in their old Victorian home. They live on a quiet street in Downers Grove.
