Eden is a black howler monkey. When Betsy and the rest of her crew arrived at the cottage in Belize, Eden was is the treetops, watching the activity in the clearing. As the weeks went by, Eden became friendly with Betsy and Lucas. After Shawn was abducted, she helped organize a search party of other howler monkeys in her troop to find where he had been taken.
Her son is Amir. He is a 6-month-old infant. He is traveling in the Jeep with Betsy, Lucas and Gaga as they venture deeper into t
he jungle looking for Shawn. He is not in the jungle searching, but giving moral support to the human searchers. He is particularly fond of Lucas.
